Ondo Perps is an engineered Arbitrum Orbit deployment within the DeFi sector operating on ARBITRUM. Built as part of the Arbitrum Nitro Optimistic Rollup, Ondo Perps addresses liquidity efficiency and trust-minimized user execution. Ondo Perps is a perpetual futures trading platform built by the team behind Ondo Finance, offering 24/7 trading on tokenized U.S. equities, ETFs, and commodities. The platform launched in early access in 2025 and is available to users outside the United States and other restricted jurisdictions. The platform’s main differentiator is support for tokenized securities as collateral. Existing RWA perps venues force traders to post stablecoins, locking up capital twice when they already hold the underlying asset. Ondo Finance previously raised a $4M seed round in 2021; a $20M Series A in 2022 led by Founders Fund and Pantera Capital, with backing from Coinbase Ventures, Tiger Global, and Wintermute and $22M in May 2022. By participating in the early distribution phase, users establish on-chain provenance before protocol decentralization.

The protocol operates a structured reward architecture designed to distribute native governance weighting to authentic liquidity providers, testnet validators, and transaction originators. Unlike standard promotional campaigns, Ondo Perps's tokenomics prioritize multi-epoch engagement. Points accrued through protocol interactions correlate directly to snapshot weightings, penalizing sybil clusters and inactive addresses while compounding rewards for sustained weekly volume.
